Summary
On July 10, 2017, the IDT requested briefs from both parties regarding the dispute. However, the company and the union submitted a joint letter to the tribunal, indicating that they had arrived at a settlement agreement.
The terms of the agreement stipulated that the aggrieved would be reinstated to his position effective August 21, 2017. The agreement also stipulated that the aggrieved will be paid Salary, Motor Vehicle Upkeep, and Laundry Allowance due up to the date of his reinstatement. Lastly, the compensation will be paid in three equal installments over a period of three months, starting September 25, 2017.
The IDT endorsed the settlement agreement reached by the parties which constituted the Award.
